Dr Ebrahim Adamjee is Executive Director of Business Development, Africa at Axmed. He is based in Nairobi, Kenya and is enthusiastic about health system strengthening and manifesting a future where every patient in Africa has access to quality healthcare. Ebrahim held several leadership positions in the pharmaceutical industry, including most recently Medical Head of Specialty Medicines & Programs at Novartis Sub-Saharan Africa (47+ countries). Previously, he served as Cluster Medical Head (East Africa) in charge of the full Therapeutic Areas spectrum. Ebrahim has spearheaded a plethora of large-scale health system strengthening projects and led high value innovative molecule launches across multiple countries, always ensuring that patients are the ultimate beneficiaries of better access. Ebrahim has an extensive Medicine and Clinical experience, with a deep understanding of restricted access. Prior to joining the private sector, Ebrahim worked as a Medical Doctor at Kenya’s well-known Mater Misericordiae University Hospital. Today, he serves as the Deputy Chair of the Pharmacovigilance and Medical Affairs Sub-Committee at the Kenya Association of Pharmaceutical Industry Association (KAPI). Ebrahim holds two Masters degrees, one in Health Economics/Pharmacoeconomics (UPF Barcelona School of Management) as well as an MBA from Valar Institute. He obtained his MD from the University of Nairobi. As an avid researcher, he has published widely, including a paper on the ‘Cost of Illness of Diabetes in Kenya’ (first of its kind in Kenya). Ebrahim was selected as Kenya’s Top 40-under-40 and was recognized by the Kenya Medical Association for his role in developing innovative healthcare solutions to the medical fraternity despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

Endrita is Senior Product Designer with 7+ years of experience in conceptualizing and designing a wide variety of consumer products while ensuring it’s the most relevant, user-friendly, cost-effective, and functional products that all stakeholders are happy with. Primarily utilizing Figma, she is well-versed in Adobe tools and at conducting user interviews, usability tests, and developing user flows. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design & Multimedia and enjoys solving problems with good user experience.

I am a Logistics, Supply Chain, and Project Management specialist with two decades of experience. my expertise spans across procurement, logistics, and enhancing customer experiences. I have honed my skills, knowledge, and experience through engagements with prominent Global Market leaders in shipping and logistics i.e. Maersk Line and Kuehne+ Nagel on the supply side of the supply chain function. Additionally, I have gained valuable insights from working with Kenya's leading IT and Media Services Provider, Wananchi Group, and KSB Pumps and Valves, a global industry leader in the manufacturing, sales, and maintenance of pumps and equipment for fresh Water and sanitation management, Mining, Oil, and Gas Industries, on the demand side of the supply chain. This background and experience is pertinent to my current role at Axmed as we are committed to creating a two-sided marketplace to bring together procurers (demand) and commodity suppliers (supply). Among my notable achievements is successful supply chain management in several turn-key projects from conception to completion. These projects span across in diverse functions and technical fields, from aid and relief, pharmaceutical logistics to network buildups as well as fresh water supply projects. Each involved navigating complex and intricate shipping, logistics, and customs procedures in 11 countries situated in East, Central, and The Horn of Africa. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce from The Kenyatta University in Kenya. In addition to this, I have formal training in Kaizen and Green Belt for process improvement, I have also earned certifications in Project Management, further solidifying my expertise in the field.

Just before joining Axmed he has been the Director of Software Engineering at Mercator AI, a startup that leverages artificial intelligence and big data to transform the construction industry. In his different roles, Muktar spearhead the development and evolution of the companies he played roles in. He also has a master's degree in web technologies and certifications in AWS, GCP, and Alibaba Cloud. In addition, he has extensive experience in full stack development, data engineering, and DevOps, having previously led and managed multiple software engineering teams and projects across various domains and platforms.

Roudy is an experienced Full Stack Developer based in Byblos, Lebanon. With more than 5 years of experience working with digital agencies and startups, he has a rich exposure to many business domains and swiftly absorbs new ones. Primarily specialized in React.js, Laravel and adjacent technologies, Roudy has contributed to and spearheaded multiple projects related to fintech, healthcare, e-commerce, e-learning, marketing and others. Roudy holds a B.S and M.S in computer science and is fluent in English, French and Arabic.

Christopher Junge is the Director of Corporate Projects at Axmed. His passion for public health stems from recognizing how one's life can be fundamentally influenced by the country and health system they are born into. With 14 years in the pharmaceutical industry, Christopher has spent seven years at Sandoz in marketing and sales for Germany, and another seven years at Novartis. Sandoz, the generic arm of Novartis, provided him with a comprehensive view of the pharmaceutical landscape. At Novartis, Christopher joined the Novartis Access team, which later became Novartis Global Health & Sustainability. He designed and implemented various programs leveraging Novartis' expertise in drug research, development, and access to medicines to address health priorities in underserved regions. In Ghana, he learned about sickle cell disease, a prevalent genetic disorder in Africa. He led the introduction of hydroxyurea, a life-saving drug, in partnership with the government to ensure its affordability. His public health efforts continued with the Cancer Access Partnership (CAP), a collaboration between Novartis and the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), reducing cancer medicine costs in Sub-Saharan Africa by nearly 60%. He also led Novartis’ Global Health Avoidable Blindness program, addressing blindness in low- and middle-income countries through collaborations with major NGOs. Christopher's academic background includes a Bachelor's in American Studies from the University of Leipzig and a semester in Business Administration at Ramkhamhaeng University in Bangkok. These experiences paved the way for his entry into the corporate world, starting with Sandoz in 2011.
