Annjoy Gitonga

Annjoy Gitonga is a licensed and registered pharmacist in Kenya (by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board), and a passionate public health advocate currently pursuing her Master’s in Public Health at Liverpool John Moores University. She earned her Bachelor of Pharmacy from USIU-Africa, driven by a lifelong commitment to improving healthcare across Africa. Her journey into public health was inspired by deeply personal experiences and shaped through hands-on work in digital health, supply chain coordination, and remote healthcare systems.

While supporting the Africa Medical Supplies Platform (AMSP), Annjoy contributed to the development of tech-driven solutions that connected countries and enabled access to essential health products during some of Africa’s most critical moments. Beyond the technical, Annjoy believes in the power of people. Her work is grounded in community engagement, mentorship, and equity-cantered collaboration. She has deepened her skills through global health training at the University of Washington, with programs in Project Management, Epidemiology, HIV Management, and Global Health Research.

Known for her thoughtful presence, clarity in communication, and strategic lens, Annjoy brings both heart and rigor to every project. Whether coordinating teams across borders or mentoring youth in her community, her mission remains constant: to create healthier, more equitable systems that leave no one behind. Outside work, Annjoy enjoys quiet mornings with a good book, deep conversations, and a warm chocolate chip cookie paired with a hot coffee.
