Isaac is a senior pharmacist with 9 years of multi-country experience in implementing quality assurance standards, GMP/GSDP inspections/audits and pharmaceutical supply chain management of essential medicines and medical devices. Isaac started his career at Biodeal Laboratories Limited, one of East Africa’s premier pharmaceutical manufacturers, where he honed his skills as a GMP Pharmacist. He then took on the role of Warehousing & Distribution Pharmacist at MEDS, where he successfully implemented standard quality assurance protocols for medical products such as; WHO MQAS , ISO 9001, DG-ECHO among others. His career journey continued as a Technical Advisor at USAID Dawa za Ubora, where he oversaw accurate storage of a staggering $30.8 million worth of pharmaceutical stock, significantly spearheading the quality compliance index of WHO GSDP among pharmaceutical 3PLs from 92% to an impressive 98%. Afterward, Isaac took on a short-term role with the African Union as a regulatory pharmaceutical external expert where he led WHO global benchmarking tool(WHO GBT) assessment of national medicines regulatory authorities(NMRA) in 5 Africa countries. Isaac has also worked with donor funding organizations, as a pharmaceutical system strengthening consultant for entities such as UNFPA, UNICEF, and the Global Fund. Isaac is deeply passionate about ensuring access to quality, safe, and effective medicines for all. He holds an MSc in Health Economics & Policy, a Bachelor of Pharmacy, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Global Health Procurement & Supply Chain Management.
