Luiza Martinez is the Commercial Chief of Staff at Axmed, where she supports the Chief Commercial Officer in strategic execution and organizational alignment. She brings over 15 years of experience across the healthcare sector, having worked with early-stage startups, digital health ventures, and Fortune 500 pharmaceutical companies through consulting and strategic advisory roles.
Before joining Axmed, Luiza advised healthcare companies on strategy, product positioning, and go-to-market planning. She has also worked across commercial operations, supporting the development and improvement of processes and driving cross-functional alignment. Her work has involved collaboration with both public and private sector stakeholders, including government officials, regulatory agencies, and healthcare leaders globally.
Luiza is Brazilian and fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish. She holds a BA in International Relations from Universidade Candido Mendes and an MBA in Business Strategy and Economics from FGV.
She is both a human-mom and a dog-mom, loves to travel, is always seeking out new restaurants, and is an avid fiction reader.
Her commitment to healthcare access began with her first professional experience at the World Economic Forum in Latin America, where she was exposed to structural inequities in health and opportunity. That helped shape her decision to work in healthcare and contribute to deliver meaningful impact to patients everywhere. Becoming a mother has given Luiza a more personal understanding of how essential healthcare access is for families, deepening her commitment to reducing health inequities and strengthening her connection to Axmed’s mission.
