Maude Schmidt Axmed

Maude is a psychologist (FSP) with over 10 years of experience in healthcare specialized in access to care. Her passion is advocating for actionable, innovative, inclusive, and sustainable solutions that improve patient care.
Her skillset is unique and shaped by extensive international experiences across Switzerland, the UK, Canada, and California; from care delivery, such as intensive care and sexual health, care management including HR, politics and entrepreneurship, through to both global and national value and access at AstraZeneca and in strategic consulting.
Throughout her career, Maude has worked for and advised a variety of pharmaceutical, medtech, and not-for-profit companies and health providers on access to care globally and with a particular interest for low- and middle-income countries. She has hands-on experience leading access strategies, including reimbursement dossiers and scientific advice submitted to governmental bodies, healthcare system strengthening, and design and management of global health access programs and health-related communication campaigns.
Maude holds a BSc (honors) from the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, in Psychology and Art History with an exchange year at Concordia University, Canada, a MSc in Psychology from the University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland, and a second MSc in International Health Management from Imperial College London, UK.
